Eco & Eco is the first company to import and install such tube systems in the US. Our experience with supplying and installing evacuated tube solar is unmatched. Thermal tube systems, unlike a flat plate collector, have glass tubes in order to better absorb the suns heat and transfer it into the manifold where the water is heated. In colder and cloudy conditions tube-heaters are known for their high output. As a rule of thumb you will need 2 flat plate collectors for one CHP30 collector.
According to an independent solar testing entity know as SRCC, our 30 thermal tubed CHP30 has an output of 58,000 BTUs per sunny day. These, like any collector, can be installed in series for any hot water consumption in any home or business. One collector will use 43 ft² (4m²) space for a roof or ground installation. One CHP30 thermal tube heater weighs, without water, 110lbs and can be easily supported by a standard roof with tile or shingles.
This particular manufacturer, a producer of numerous tube systems sold under various names in the US, is among the highest quality of Asian made evacuated tube systems. American, European, and Asian made solar systems offer a 10 year out-put-warranty which is a standard requirement to be SRCC certified, which our systems are.
These tube collector systems, when compared with European manufacturers, are less expensive and will heat high amounts of water, but even with a warranty they have a lower lifespan and are made of lesser quality technology. Eco & Eco suggests that all thermal systems be combined with a common boiler. The solar water is held in a well insulated water tank and is kept hot for up to 2 days. The hot water is directly fed into your water lines that lead to your existing gas or electric hot water heater. Your old water boiler should be kept as a back up should the need arise.
We encourage all people to go solar, whether you will self install or have a certified installer, and take advantage of the rebates available. In either case we will drop ship these products to your job site or the installers place of business. Shipping takes only a few day from the time your order is placed. This system could even be self installed with a little over the phone help from one of our solar consultants.
