Solar helps orphanage in Tijuana

The children of a Tijuana orphanage are happy today.
Eco and Eco San Diego Solar has sponsored one of its evacuated solar waters heaters.

The gas heater broke, in an orphanage with 20 young children had to take cold showers for over a year, ever since their convectional

So when we first got approached by the Manager of Casa Esperanza that wanted to purchase and finance a solar panel for his orphanage we had said.
“OK. let us sponsor you”. The guy almost dropped dead in our office.

So just a few days after we headed over to install the system. Quite moving when you see all these kids with their big eyes looking at you like you come from the moon whit our high tech swords (evacuated solar tubes).

After the fast installation we went home….so about a week later or so we attended their hot-water-is-back party! The kids where dancing. Live music. Good people around and very happy children of Tijuana Mexico.

Fact is:
No new water heater needed to be bought.
Monthly saving on propane bill 70.00 dollars. That is a lot of money to buy tortillas instead.
If anybody out there wants to help us to do the same thing for anther orphanage let us know.
